Alice Vanini is a scenographer and costume designer whose artistic path began in Italy, where she studied painting, drawing, and sculpting techniques during her high school years. She later moved to Norway, gaining her first hands-on experience in scenography construction and painting at the Rogaland Theater workshop in Stavanger. She holds a BA in Scenography from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and an MA in Scenography from the Norwegian Theatre Academy (NTA) / Østfold University College in Fredrikstad.
Her practice combines a background in traditional theater with a strong interest in experimentation. Working with the concept of Expanded Scenography, she explores space as a dramaturgical tool and the audience as an active presence within the performance. Her work spans dance, theater, opera, and performance, often blurring the boundaries between these fields.
Alice is currently active in Norway, Italy, and Kosovo. Among others, she has collaborated with Ivar Furre Aam and Runar Hodne in Norway, Andrea Piazza and Giacomo Pedini in Italy, and the company Qendra Multimedia in Kosovo.
